    Dr. Owatha “Tootie” Tatum has been a key advisor since 2021. Dr. Tatum is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of excellence in the biotechnology and diagnostics industry. Skilled in healthcare strategy, business development, DNA sequencing, quality management, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), molecular biology, and biotechnology, Dr. Tatum earned her Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences and MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.

    Dr. Shaohan Zhao has been a key advisor since 2019. Dr. Zhao received his Ph.D. in 2001 in Toxicology and his MBA in 2002 from Iowa State University. Dr. Zhao is a board-certified toxicologist as a fellow by the American Board of Forensic Toxicology and has been serving as lab director for multiple clinical labs since 2011, specializing in lab management, technical guidance and compliance with CLIA, COLA and CAP regulations.

    Dr. Zhao is also a certified lab director for the state of New York (category of Toxicology, Genetic Testing and Virology), New Jersey, Florida, Nevada and Louisiana and is a member of the Society of Forensic Toxicology and the Southwestern Association of Toxicologists.


  • Khoi Thai



    Mr. Khoi Thai has been a key advisor since 2021. Mr. Thai received his Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology Focus, in 2004 from University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Thai is a chemical engineer with over 15 years of experience in biotechnology, spanning process development and cGMP manufacturing as part of the industry and on the vendor side.

    Mr. Thai have worked on and led teams working on large, complex projects across functional areas. He spent the last 8 years working with single use technology, and has leveraged single use technology to enable rapid start up of a single use facility for clinical production as well as rapid transfer to a CMO for commercialization.
