    Ms. Emylee Thai is the Founder and CEO of Artemis DNA. Having lost both her parents to cancer, it felt imperative for her to analyze her own cancer risk profile, sparking her interest in genetic testing. Through Artemis DNA, she yearns to make diagnostic testing more accessible among the wider population, including independent clinicians and patients. Emylee holds more than ten years of experience in the life science and biotechnology industries. She has liaised with renowned, top-tier healthcare organizations which utilize strategy, consulting, and technology to link top-notch medical care professionals with individuals worldwide during her professional career. Emylee is driven by a passion for delivering innovative, affordable, meaningful, and relevant healthcare and medical care solutions available across the nation.

    Ms. Thai is very active in the life science and biotechnology communities and believes in giving back. She recently started the Artemis DNA Foundation to facilitate free cancer screening and health education services. In addition to other accolades, she was recently nominated for the Orange County Business Journal’s Women in Business Awards and her company, Artemis DNA, won the ACG 2022 Awards for category Start-Up. Ms. Thai is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Management and Operations Management. She is enrolled in the Advanced Management Program (Leadership) at Columbia Business School.


  • Khanh Thien Nguyen, MD, MRCS, MMED
    Deputy Director, Clinical Affairs




    Dr. Khanh Thien Nguyen, MD, MRCS, MMED is an accomplished doctor, medtech innovator and practicing surgeon. Of note, he has led three clinical trials as co-investigator, published multiple papers and had four utility patents pending in the US as a result of his research.

    Dr. Nguyen serves as the Deputy Director for Artemis DNA in Vietnam, where he oversees all clinical affairs in the region. In addition, Dr. Nguyen has a thriving surgical practice as Chief Medical Officer at AVA Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in Vietnam.

    Dr. Nguyen is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine where he earned his Bachelor of Science Neuroscience with honors, and at Duke-NUS Medical School where he received his Doctor of Medicine. He completed his surgery residency at Singapore General Hospital, the flagship public hospital in Singapore and underwent fellowship in MedTech Innovation at Stanford University in 2016.


  • Phuong Thanh Thi Le, MD
    CLIA Lab Director



    Dr. Phuong Le serves as the Laboratory Director for Artemis DNA in Vietnam. In this role, she is responsible for oversight of all clinical laboratory testing and ensuring compliance with all requirements for laboratory accreditation across Artemis DNA’s Vietnam operations.

    Dr. Le has an extensive background working in pathology labs, having previously worked at City International Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, and most recently serving as the Head of Tissue Bank at EMCAS Plastic Surgery Hospital, where she implemented their lab techniques and protocols.

    Dr. Le is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine and her Master of Science in Medicine with a focus in Medical Morphology (Histopathology).
